Regis University Modular Office and Laboratories

Project Capsule: Regis University Modular Office and Laboratories

A modular office and laboratories where need by the university and Pac-Van was able to deliver. Regis University’s 6,888 sq ft modular building consists of 2 – 1,080 sq ft classrooms, restrooms, professor offices and a resource center. There is a 5’ wide corridor between the classrooms and all offices. Ceiling are 9’ throughout the building. Exterior siding colors match existing buildings on the campus. The two exterior doors are glass store front doors. Both vestibule doors are solid core wood doors with 24”x24” glass.

Both sets of doors have ADA push pads and automatic openers. All interior doors are solid core wood doors with steel jambs and sidelights. Each classroom has 8 floor outlet receptacles installed. The 12”x48” windows along the backside of the modular school building were designed to allow natural light. Five rooftop HVAC’s provide variable heating/cooling zones for the different uses in the building.

Energy Recovery Ventilators in the classrooms add airflow when the classrooms are full. Three variable air volumes were also added to each of the 3 office HVAC’s allowing additional air flow to individual offices. The exterior walls have R19 insulation. All interior walls were designed with R11 poly-encapsulated acoustical insulation. All corridors have a 1-hour fire rating throughout the modular. There are vestibules at each entrance for added efficiency to the HVAC system.
