Project Capsule: Lincoln Modular School Building
Lincoln Modular School Building required temporary classroom space while renovating their main campus. The site offered very little space for temporary single-story classrooms, so the customer leased two-story buildings to provide 12 fully functioning classrooms for the project. The 9,500 sq. ft. facility consists of (8) 12×34’ modules and (8) 12×66’ modules. Each module is equipped with restrooms, storage and coat closets, complete with children’s cubby storage.
From planning and fabrication to installation and use, this project took less than eight months. Transportation of the units to the site required the busy, downtown street to be closed. Features include permanent stem wall poured concrete foundation, t-grid ceiling, steel doors, and wall mount HVAC. The whiteboards and bulletin boards were pre-installed before delivery. The modules are relocatable and reconfigurable and will be moved to a different site for future school use either in single or two-story applications.
This type of building offering the time savings and restricted construction area could only be accomplished with modular.
