Architecture is at the heart of the construction industry. Since many of our customers who use mobile offices and storage containers are intimately involved in some phase of the building process, Pac-Van participates in many organizations that are responsible for the development, growth and upkeep of our local communities.
On November 18th, Angie Hamilton Mason, Pac-Van’s VP of Marketing, will be attending the 32nd annual A Monumental Affair dinner and awards ceremony. This event recognizes the year’s best achievements in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, engineering, construction, public art, and development here in our hometown of Indianapolis. This year’s theme is “Innovation in Indy” and will include a keynote address from Dr. Randall Howard, the Vice President for Business Affairs and Treasurer at Ball State University.
Some of the sponsors for the event include the title sponsor, Ice Miller LLP; the platinum sponsor, Central Indiana Community Foundation; the reception sponsor, Indiana chapter of the International Facility Management Association (www.ifmaindy.org); and many of our construction partners including Turner Construction, Hunt Construction Group, and Wilhelm General Contractors.
While the networking is always lively (last year’s event brought in a whopping 450 attendees!), the awards are the main event. These awards are presented as a combined program sanctioned by twelve professional organizations, including but not limited to, the American Institute of Architects (www.aia.org) and the United States Green Building Council (www.usgbc.org ). The buzz has already begun about which project will win this year’s top award. After all, there are big shoes to fill as last year’s winner was the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center featured in the photo below.
Pac-Van would like to wish all of this year’s nominees the best of luck! If you’d like to join us at this inspiring event, tickets are still available online at: http://www.kibi.org/monumental. We hope to see you there.
